Data Spanning onto Discs
We have recently developed a CD/DVD duplicator which is able to span data across the necessary amount of discs. It works well with the Time-Space units used in a number of TSU departments, and would work with other types of hard drives, servers or storage devices.
The file structure on the disc remains the same as the original content and a table of contents file of the whole set is created and added to each disc, if required.
The number of discs per set and the disc number (eg disc 2 of 10) is printed automatically onto the disc surface. A barcode can also be printed onto the disc if further traceability is needed.
The software was developed specifically for a TSU department, who have since recommended it to another.
